Improvised performance using circuit bent instruments and solar panel microphones. The opening/closing rhythmic drones come from the flashing patterns of a hot tub LED striking the solar panel, then routed through my DIY walkie talkie guitar pedals for extra degradation.
Pulsar is part of my experiments with electronic music performance, and how I can use my DIY instruments in a set. As well as listening to light with the solar panel, I’m now using a second (smaller) panel to provide CV to the Volca Sample – the flashing of the red bicycle light becomes the tempo of the drum beat.
